General Update

Do I need this update?

The General Update SE will update your program with the latest code, functionality improvements, and bug fixes available. To determine if you should download it, check the version number on your CD and compare it to the version number of this update. If the CD version number is less, this update will benefit you (for example: CD version 4.00.00, update version 4.02.00).

General Update SE does the following:

Fixes Super Phonics 2 problem with missing graphics.
Fixes known activity bugs in all programs.
Allows Intel-Based Macs to run Basic Skills Series SE programs.
Fixes problem with # Default # class removal or rename. It can now safely be renamed or deleted.
Improves Marks Manager functionality when viewing legacy databases.
Fixes import bug in Marks Manager - can now import students with the same name in different classes.
Fixes missing sounds in Reading Comprehension Levels 1, 2, and 3.
Fixes missing help sounds in Readiness Skills, Writing Fundamentals, Vocabulary Builder 4, and Super Phonics.
Fixes Click and Count activity in Mastering Numeration.
Fixes Compare Pictures activity in Readiness Skills.
Fixes Debug launchers for Measurement 2 and Measurement 3 (PC only).
Custom Spelling List student marks are now viewable in Marks Manager.
Improves Teacher List Editor functionality (move/copy functions).
Fixes problem with Super Phonics 2 not being able to load in some situations.
Fixes Marks Manager error when trying to do "Report by Date" in some situations.
Marks Manager can now delete/rename a student after marks have been viewed for that student.
Error no longer shown when repairing database using Database Backup Utility when corruption is encountered.
Repair function in Database Backup Utility now shows an hour-glass cursor to indicate work is progressing.

Click on the link PC_General_Update_SE.exe (found below)
The Wizard will guide you through the download process.
When the file has finished downloading, locate the downloaded file and double click on it.
Another wizard will guide you through the installation of the update. The update must be applied to your installation folder of Essential Skills SE (defaults to C:\Program Files\Essential Skills SE).
This update is not valid for Legacy versions of the Basic Skills Series (v3.20.00 or lower). For those versions, you must download the Legacy update from here.

PC Update: PC_General_Update_SE.exe - v4.05.00 (.EXE)

Click on the link MAC_General_Update_SE.dmg (found below)
When the file has finished downloading, locate the downloaded file and double click on it. This will mount an 'image' file containing the update file.
Double click on the mounted image (should show on your desktop), then double click the update file. This will start the installation.
A wizard will guide you through the installation of the update. It will first ask you to which folder it should install. The update must be applied to your installation folder of Essential Skills Se (defaults to Macintosh HD : Applications : Essential Skills SE).
This update is not valid for Legacy versions of the Basic Skills Series (v3.20.00 or lower). For those versions, you must download the Legacy update from here.

Mac Update: MAC_General_Update_SE.zip - v4.05.00
